SCIENCE IN SPORT
Nutrition for Performance
Its difficult when riding long distances to keep up both nutritional and
carbohydrate intake. This can lead to problems such as dehydration, dizziness
and stomach cramps.
Drinking water and the odd glucose bar can help to provide short term energy
and can help with dehydration but can leave you feeling bloated.
However sports energy drinks provide quick re-hydration to replace essential
electrolytes lost in sweat and carbohydrates to boost energy levels.
Science in Sports
Science in Sports grew out of the desire to provide the best
nutritional products and advice to athletes.
Initially Science in Sport’s grew in cycling thanks to the support and
endorsement of the products by Chris Boardman, but it wasn’t long before
the products were adopted by all types of sports including rowing, football,
rugby and cricket if fact anywhere where energy is expended over a long period
of time.
Today the products are split into three distinct areas:
- Re-hydration – Go Electrolyte
- Energy – PSP22 and GO-BAR
- Recovery – REGO
